friday faves: love, and stuff edition

friday faves: valentine edition

Here’s a friday fave dedicated to some little things that are kinda related to love, and stuff.

1. Maybe you’re in love with a Darling. Maybe your best is a Darling. Most likely, you’re a Darling.  This beautiful quarterly magazine defines ‘the art if being a woman’ in a way foreign to glossy magazines.  2. The best little things come in the form of simple, gold rings. This one from Vale Jewelry is our top pick right now.  3. Hartland Brooklyn cards are a-dorable. Find them online or at Milkman’s Daughter.  4. A black heart by Banquet Atelier for the dark side of your loved one. Available at Violette.  5. The History of ‘Loving’ to Read by The New Yorker.

Psst. Darling and Vale Jewelry are both sold at Violette

pretty in paper

We’re lovers of beautiful things, and we especially love beautiful things that come in paper form – books, handwritten letters, postcards. It’s really no surprise that we’re fans of Tuktu Paper Co., a Victoria-based stationary designer that specializes in wedding invitations, holiday & birthday cards, personalized stationary, artwork & prints.  While their gallery of custom paper products are enough to make a girl swoon, we’ve fallen for their selection of pre-designed wedding invitations – perfect for the busy bride.  Our favourite?  The Fairfield!

here comes the bride

You’ve RSVP’d to this season’s showers and weddings and now it’s time to get gifting.  Unless the couple has asked for cold, hard cash (hallelujah!) finding the perfect wedding gift can be pretty stressful – or at least it was before Emporia Boutique opened its doors.  Here are just a few of our favourite Emporia finds!

wedding

1. Described as an “indispensable reference for modern couples looking to spend quality time together in the kitchen”  The Newlywed Cookbook by Sarah Copeland is an ideal gift for the foodies on your list.  Pair with a bottle of their favourite wine for a personal touch.  2.We first met mr. & mrs. muse on a pair of porcelain mugs and have loved them ever since.  Also available in mr. & mr. and mrs. & mrs. couplings, the Jonathan Adler creations are a quirky addition to any newlywed kitchen.  3.The Fluoro Heart Print is a fun statement piece for the bride & groom’s love nest.  Pop into Emporia Boutique to see their selection of Banquet Atelier & Workshop prints.  4. The perfect gift must be covered in the perfect wrapping and accompanied by the perfect card, so it’s only natural that Emporia Boutique carries all things paper from two of our most adored stationary designers, Rifle Paper Co. and Sugar Paper.

Now that wasn’t so hard, was it?
